Description Title: Inventory Control Specialist Reports To: General Manager Summary The Specialist has a unique talent and is dedicated to a specific function. Specialists may work in multiple areas of the store during each shift. The Inventory Control Specialist oversees the Perpetual Inventory maintenance process of the store. The Inventory Control Specialist is the key individual to research any out of stocks in the store working cross-functionally with the management team. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate physical inventory and maintaining acceptable in-stock position. The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the execution of pricing actions as well as assisting in the verification of planogram and price integrity. The Inventory Control Specialist also assists with the organization and maintenance of back room and overstock areas as well as assisting with the preparation of the yearly physical inventory. Provide Quality Customer Care to all customers by handling customer concerns quickly and sincerely, ringing up purchases with speed and accuracy, and by recovering the store consistently to ensure a positive shopping experience. Identify and thoroughly research inventory out of stocks and take action to correct. Communicate reoccurring out of stocks with General Manager. Execute the Cycle Counting process and ensure accurate Perpetual Inventory. Verify planogram integrity. Assist in Physical Inventory process. Execute item price changes, clearance markdowns, source switches, and in and out item changes. Maintain files for price changes, clearance markdowns, source switches and exception count batch approvals. Assist in replenishing, down stocking, and bin purging of backstock and overstock locations. Ensure Credit Activity compliance. Perform other duties as requested. Experience & Educational Requirements Flexibility in scheduling; evenings, early mornings, weekends and holidays required. A.C. Moore experience preferred. Detail Oriented. Strong communication skills. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Computer skills required. Ability to climb ladders. Some lifting required.
